Who knew that it would take the death of the Pope to distract the mainstream American media from focusing on Michael Jackson and Terri Schiavo? Okay, granted, the Terri Schiavo story had pretty much run its course, but don’t think for a minute somebody wasn’t going to try to milk it for as long as they could.Despite the fact that I’m not Catholic (and I’ve pretty much committed myself to the Catholics being wrong about all that “sin” stuff), I did admire the guy a bit. He didn’t do everything my lefty-friends wanted, but I was impressed with the stuff he did do. Maybe the next guy will go even further?
